THE WORLD OF FASHION

BY

MARGUERITE

1. Princess robe of silk; cape collar of old B-eton embroidery, under blouse of fine lace. 2. of satin; bodice with guipure collar, and trimmed with figured ribbon.

This Costume is carried out in the new banana coloured Shantung silk, striped faintly with red, and arranged on the bodice with erochet braid and tassels, and chemisette and under-sleeves of white embroidered lawn and Valenciennes lace. The waistband of black silk is fastened at the back with loops of white crochet cord caught over gold buttons, and is finished of! with long sash-ends, whose ends are broidered —on each side—with a big bunch of cherries. A tiny tie of pale blue silk at the neck is a dainty detail, and that crowning toque is an altogether fascinating affair where cherries are clustered together with green leaves and grass, and caught here and there by little bows of black velvet.
