The Conquest of the Air.

The cables recently announced the fact that M. Henri Farman. a well-known French motorist and experimenter in aeroplanes, had carried off a £2.000 prize with his new machine, which beat all previous aeroplane records by covering 1 000 yards in 88 seconds, the course being circular, through goals. The machine sped with perfect stability, and at the will of the driver alighted with the ease of a bird.

The activity of all the other geysers, notably Waikite and Pohutu. is given as the reason for Wa iron’s refusal to play. Obviously, the "Royal Geyser” is jealous and is sulking.
