Two Englishmen, having resolved to better their fortunes by mining in Mexico. one of them came to the land of “tortillas, frijoles and manana” to prospect while the other remained in the “ tight little island.” Some months later the latter received some samples of ore weighing about a ton and a-half and assaying very high In precious metals. With such a showing, the necessary capital to w'ork the mine was easily secured. The miner in Mexico received tire following cablegram: “Stock all ;subrfribedz Start development work ion mine at once.”- Hu answer was: “Congratulations. Please return the mine.”
