ENGAGEMENTS.

The engagement is announced of Miss Phyllis Mountaine, adopted daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mountaine, Maungaturoto, to Mr. Fred Hemphill, youngest son of Mr. Harry Hemphill, son of James Hemphill, Eeq., Maungaturoto, Kiipara. The engagement is announced of Miss Mary Jackman, eldest daughter of W. H. Jackman, Esq., of Whakapirau, to Mr. Hardy Hemphill, Esq., Maungaturoto, Kaipara. The engagement is announced of Miss F. Barker, daughter of Mrs. P. Barker, Gisborne, to Dr. Schumacher, also of Gisborne. The engagement is announced of Miss Sissie Wilkinson, only daughter of Mr. W. Wilkinson, Devonport, to Mr. F. H. Hutchinson, manager for Messrs. E. Reynolds and Co., Ltd., Auckland, and formerly of Christchurch. The engagement is announced of Mr. James Taylor, youngest son of the late Capt. T. B. Taylor, Wanganui, to Miss Hook, of Wanganui. The engagement is announced of Miss Dorothy Cleghorn, eldest daughter of the late Dr. Cleghorn; of Wanganui, to Lieutenant Olliver White, of India. The engagement is announced of Miss Isabel Blackett, younger daughter of the late Mr. John Blackett, C.E. (at one time engineer-in-chief for the colony),- to Mr. J. Houston, formerly of Wanganui. Miss Blackett and her sister are at present on a visit to the Old Country. The engaegment is announced of Mr H. A. V. 'Bollard, youngest son of Mr John M.H.R.. Avondale, to Miss Rosa M. Binstod, eldest daughter o,f Mr Janies Hoisted, Avondale. .
