Orange Blossoms.

FERGUSON—MENZIES. A pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Andrew’s Church. Alten-road, Auckland, on July 3rd, when Miss Helen V. Menzies, daughter of Mr. John Menzies, of Remuera, was married to Mr. John Herbert Ferguson, of Cambridge. The Rev. Mr. Scott, of Mangere, officiated at the service. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in cream silk voile, the corsage being composed of cream chiffon silk lace insertion, with rosettes. She wore a beautiful embroidered tulle veil, which fell over a coronet of orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower bouquet. The bridegroom’s gift to her was a handsome gold and greenstone brooch. Miss Rosie Hellaby and Miss Pearl Ferguson were the bridesmaids. They wore smart cream, serge costumes, ..with white chitton vests, and white felt hats, with reseda green plumes, and carried shower bouquets of blue and white violets and maidenhair fern. They also wore pretty gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Robin Ferguson acted as best man. an Mr. Neil Menzies as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests, which

numbered over 80, were entertained to a recherche wedding breakfast in St. Andrew’s Hall, when the usual toasts were proposed and duly honoured. HUMREDWOOD. The wedding of Miss Agnes May Redwood. daughter of Mr. T. Redwood, and Captain Hull. Wellington Superintendent of the North Island line oi steamers (son of the late Mr. Hull, manager of the Blenheim branch of the National Bank of New Zealand), took place yesterday afternoon, at the residence of the bride's parents, Muller-road, says the "Marlborough Herald” of June 28th. The ceremony was performed by the. Rev. Father Holley, in the’ presence of the relations. Miss Minnie Fulton, matron of the Wairau Hospital—of the nursing staff of which Miss Redwood was a member for some years —was bridesmaid; and Mr. Geoffrey Hull, a brother, attended the bridegroofn. The bride looked charming in creme mervil leux. A large number of presents testified to the esteem in which the young couple are held. The newly-married eouple left by the afternoon train for Auckland district, where they spend a few weeks, prior to settling down at their home in Wellington.

ALLAN— MENTEATH. A quiet little wedding took place in the sacristy of the Basilica, Hill-street, last week, between Miss Lois Menteath, eldest daughter of Mr. Stuart Men teath, and Mr. Charles Allan, son of the late Mr. Allan, at one time registrar of the Supreme Court.

The bride wore a pale grey frock made with a smart little Eton coat faced with white satin and velvet hat to match with grey feathers; Miss Valerie Menleath, who was bridesmaid, wore a brown coat and skirt, brown hat with pink roses; Mrs. Allan and Mrs. Lee, mother and sister of the bridegroom, were present. The bride and bridegroom left directly after the ceremony for Nelson, where the honeymoon is being spent, Mrs. Allan wearing a navy blue skirt and long coat.

GILMER—SEDDON. The marriage of Miss May Seddon to Mr. Knox Gilmer excited an immense amount of interest. Long before tJ o'clock a large crowd had assembled outside S. Paul's pro Cathedral. where the ceremony took place, and the church was filled to overflowing. Some fine palms were grouped in the chancel, and vases of white lilies placed on the altar. The Right Reverend the Bishop of Wellington. assisted by the Revd. T. H. Sprott, officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Capt. Seddon, looked very well, and wore a simply made gown of white radium over taffetas, the bodice had transparent yoke and under-sleeves of fine lace; she wore the usual orange blossom in her hair, and tulle veil, and carried a shower bouquet of lilies and cyclamen. Her bridesmaid. Miss Hu'oi Seddon. wore a pretty and becoming frock of ivory chiffon taffetas, white lace bodice with bretelles and kimono sleeves of taffetas, a white felt hat with long sweeping ostrich feather and bouquet of violets, completed a charming toilette.

Mr. Walter Bethune was best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a pair of solitaire diamond earrings, and to the bridesmaid pearl earrings and pendant. Among other presents numbei*ig over 300, were a silver salver presented by the Ministry, and a marble clock from the Legislative Councillors. At the reception held at the ministerial residence. Molesworth-street, Bishop Wallis proposed the healtli of the bride and bridegroom, and Sir Joseph Ward that of Mrs. Seddon. The bride’s

travelling gown was a pretty shade of petunia face cloth with garniture of Oriental embroidery, white felt’ with shaded mauve Howers. She wore a handsome set of white furs, and a quaint and valuable pendant, the design being an amethyst set in filagree gold, over which was a small crown of pearls and rubies, this was originally an earring said to have belonged to Mary Quee* of Scots, and was a gift from a friend in Edinburgh; Mrs. Seddon wore black chiffon taffetas, and black hat with feathers; Mrs. Gilmer, black brocade, black hat with violets; Mrs. Monee (Greymouth).' sister of the bride, white cloth gown, white hat with -fips, white furs; Mrs. Bean, Christchurch, and Mrs. Dyer (also sisters pl the bride), were dressed alike in black glace, and black hats; Miss Seddon. black glace, picture hat; Mrs. Ziele (Christchurch), old rose gown, hat with shaded roses; Mrs. Herbert, grey and white striped silk with touches of green, small green hat; Mrs. (Dr.) Gilmer, pale blue glace, white hat with ostrich feathers; Lady Ward, grey velvet, grey bat with green tulle and grapes; Miss Ward, old rose silk, blue hat with roses; Mrs. Findlay, blue and white silk, blue hat with feathers; Miss Hall-Jones, cream cloth, cream hat with wings; Mrs. M. Myers, brown crepe de chine, brown hat with pink roses; Mrs. Kennedy Macdonald, black silk, black toque with white osprey; Mrs. Hasel den, blue voile with touches of green, blue hat with shaded roses; Mrs. Prouse, brown Bengaline, toque to match; Miss Prouse. navy blue Eton costume; Mrs. Wallis, blue velvet, lace scarf; Mrs. Sidey (Dunedin), cornflower blue glace, black picture hat; Mrs. Boyes (Napier), blue crepe de chine, blue hat; Mrs. Quick, black brocade, velvet mantle; Miss Quick, cream doth; Miss D.
