Dear Bee, May 3rd. THE ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW AND SALE OF WORK in connection with All Saints’ Tardies’ Guild,-held in the Zea’andia Hall on Wednesday afternoon and evening, was most wnfortunats in the -weather. It poured in torrents all day and all night, and so materially affected the attendance. The workers spared no effort to make beautiful effects with flowers, fems, pot-plants, etc, end the various stalls were most attractive, particularly’ the sweet stall, which was perfectly lovely. It represented a rose-covered cottage. 'The attendants, the Misses Abraham (2), Russell (2), Hewitt and Snow wore frocks of pale pink crinkled paper, and pink roses in their hair. Other stalls were: All Sainis’ work stall, presided over- by Mcsdames' Hewitt, Barnieoat, F. Cooper, Waters,, and Harper; Peter's ryorkstalhgMesdames F'airbrother, HunterBrowS, Bennett -and Klingender. Tea stall,'’*Mesdaines Bagnall, and Gibbons, assisted by the Misses Robinson, Park (2J, Bell, Gemund Fitzberbert and.others. There were the usual competitions for table decorations and decorated'mantelpieces, Mrs. Harold Cooper-winning -the prize for the former and Miss Akers for the latter. Among- those present I noticed Mrs. Lloyd wearing a blaek toisealskin coat, black bonnet with • ream'; tip; Miss Kelly in -black, with black silk sequined cape, black and white bonnet with black tip and touch of tangerine velvet; Mrs. F. Jackson, grey, Norfolk coat and skirt, brown hat with yellow flowers; Mrs. Harold Cooper in navy blue made with long coat, white crepe de chine scarf; iiav.y hat with pale blue silk, crimson roses; -Mrs. .L Pa'seall. in dark green coat, with "deep basque, green hat with quills;-Miss Pascal). blackskirt, grey and white striped blouse, cream hat with two shades of green silk; Mrs. C. Harden, in. blaek with, grey Inverness coat,' white toque with white wing; Mrs. McKnight. cornflower blue coat and skirt, sable fur, blue felt hat with peacock feathers;. Mrs. J. M. Johnston, grey eoat and skirt, naw hat with blue and white cheek ribbon; Mrs. F. Cooke, navy blue. Etrui costume, creani hat with pale marfve feathers,; Mrs. Holmes, brown corduroy coat made with basque, cream bat withibjown and green chiffon drape: .Mr. i'almer, deep violet Eton coat and skirt, black toque; Mrs. Gardiner, in .black, .with, long black silk coat, black and white bonne; ; Mrs. Porvitt, in greymade wrtdi slimt-basqire, and having green velvet -r collar ami .cuffs, green hat with pale blue floral silk tiinimiiig; Mrs. Tripe, in grey with., long coat, black hat with black tips; Mrs. Dempsey, in black with fawn coat, black hat with grey ribbon and while bird; Mrs. Randolph, ngvy blue coat and skirt, braided with black, black toque with tips; Miss Randolph', blaek coat and sljir; navy blue hat with nayy and pale Irhin wings; Miss' McLennan, grey Eton costume with white doth facings, blqek hat with grey plaid ribboji; Miss Elsie McLennan. navy blue Wtjftjh coat ami skirt, pink hat; Mrs. Thompson, grey coat and scarlet hat -with scarlet ‘ bird; Miss Wilson, navy blue Eton. c’Ostiiino With white (aciugs. cream hat with blue jHhee bows;. O’ Shut? long navy blue coat braided in blaek, stone marten furs, navy and green straw hat with navy wings; Mrs. W. Keeling, in cream serge, cream hat; Mrs. Aieken. navy blue Eton costume, coat strapped with cream cloth, navy felt hat with blue wings; Mrs. Scott, in blue made with long coat, black hat; Mrs. Vernon, in brown tweed coat and skirt, cream hat with plaid ribbon; Mrs. Greig, navy blue, sealskin coat; Mrs. Monro dark grey coat and skirt navy hat with navy glace and wings; Mrs. Mellsop, fawn embroidered crash, green hat with green quills; Mrs. Beck, blaek toilette, black hat with white tips; Miss Fraser, in black with long grey coat, black toque.
