CAMBRIDGE.

Dear Bee, April 22. The Cambridge Chrysanthemum Society held their sixteenth annual show on Friday and Saturday. The blooms were exceedingly good considering the <lamp, trying weather a few days previous to the show; but the attendance was very poor except on the last night. There seemed to be great want of interest taken in it. The committee did all in their power to make it go off well, and the new secretary, Mr Tryall, gave every satisfaction. The afternoon tea, which is always a pleasant feature of the •how, was under the able management of Mrs G. MeCullagh and Mrs V. Hunter,

assisted by Mrs and Miss London and the Misses Taylor (2), Skeet, Clark and Hally. The table decorations are always a source of great interest to the ladies. There were only three entries in the adult class. Miss Richardson took the first prize with a table, the centre of which was draped with broad white satin ribbon, tied in bows at the corners and arranged with white chrysanthemums, red begonias, and maiden hair fem. Miss Wells came next. Her table had a green and white table centre and the flowers used were shades of red cactus dahlias and Nandina and maidenhair foliage, arranged in silver bowls and silver centre piece. The Misses Willis used a gold-tinted areh on a white embroidered table centre, and theirs was done in shades of yellow fairy sunflowers and French marigolds and maidenhair fern. In the girls’ class there were only two entries, Miss London taking first prize with white chrysanthemums and sprays of Virginian creeper. Miss Ward’s was done in shades of yellow' with table centre to match.
