MENZIES—WILLIS.

A wedding which attracted an unusual amount of interest was that of Mr Duncan Menzies and Miss Dorothy Willis, which was recently celebrated at St. Martin’s, Grateford, writes our Wellington correspondent. The bridegroom is son of the late Dr. Menzies, and grandson of the late Dr. Featherston, and the bride is daughter' of the late Major Willis, and grand daughter of the late Mr Riddiford,;of the Lower Hutt, So that.it was a’union of two of the oldest families in .Wellington. A ,larg<> ( number <>f relatives went up to be present at the ceremony. The officiating clergy were Archdeacon Toogood. and the Rev. C; Isaacson., The bride was given away by her brother, Mr TpmWillis. hiyl attended by four bridesmaids. Misses Mary Willis (sister of tlic bi-ide), Marjory Gox.'Nora Gorton and L. Watson, niece of the bridegroom. Mr Frank Neuman was best innn. The bride wore a simple but ju-etty gown of white Louisine, with yoke and ecpiiilettes of fine lace’. A spray of white heather mid-otange-blossom was worn in her hair under a tulle veil. She carried a lovely sliowcr bo.ujjuqt, the gift of the bridgegroom,. Miss Mary ,Willis (ehie,^Jiriilesmaid) Wore ■'chene silk with m'auve flowers, white hat with shaded chryaan-

themums. The others, who were children, wore soft white silk frocks, and frilly hats. Mrs Willis wore a black brocade bonnet with pink roses; Mrs Menzies, black velvet and Honitan lace; Mrs Murray Menzies, white, and picture hat; Mrs Watson, white cloth, smart toque;-Mrs Widdiford, grey taffetas, with beautiful laee. Among others present were: Captain,'Mrs and Miss Hewitt. Mr and Mrs Dan Willis, Dr and Mrs Willis, Mrs and Misses Fitzgerald, Colonel and Mrs Gorton, Mr and Mrs Dan Riddiford, Mr amt Mrs Levin, Mr and Mrs Stanton Harcourt, the Misses Jackson, Mr and Mrs J. G. Wilson, the Misses Wilson. Mr and Mrs Norman Gorton, Mr and Mrs la'slie Gorton, Miss Zoe Thorne George, Mr and Mrs Taverner. The bride received a large number of beautiful presents. Her going away dress was a very' becoming blue cloth, white felt hat, with long sweeping feather. The honeynio: n is being spent at Rotorua.
