Dear Bee, January 30. A small dance was given on Friday evening by -Mrs. John Anderson at her residence in Armagh-street. About thirty young people were present and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Mrs. Anderson was wearing a pretty dress of black-spangled ehiffon over white glaee; Miss Dorothy Anderson a dainty frock of white ehiffon; Miss Phyllis Anderson, soft white muslin; the Misses Burns, pink silk and laee; Miss Hazel Elmslic a pretty dress of white taffetas; Miss Kitsoh, white muslin and laee; Miss Janet Ogle wore white silk; Miss Humphries, pale pink taffetas; Miss Christie, white silk and lace; Miss G. Merton, pink silk; Miss Wilding, white muslin; Miss Denniston, mauve taffetas and laee; Miss Monteith (Wellington), white silk; Miss C. Kettle, blue and pink floral silk; Miss Hislop (Wellington) white taffetas. A TENNIS AFTERNOON was given by Mrs. Boyle at Riecarton, on Monday, when there was some capital play. Those playing were . Wigram, coat and skirt of pale blue linen, toque of two shades of blue; Airs. Walter Olivier, pale grey cloth costume, grey hat to match; Mrs. John Deans, gown of black ehiffon taffetas, black and white tulle bonnet ; Aliss Deans, white embroidered muslin, Leghorn hat with wreath of pink roses; Airs.
