AN IRREPARABLE LOSS: DESTRUCTION BY FIRE OF THE NATIONAL KAURA RESERVE, KAIH'J VALLEY, NEAR DARGAVILLE.
Two views in the reserve which was a picked part of one of the Hon. E. Mitehelson’s bushes, and contained many handsome specimens of the Kauri, the fast vanishing King of the New Zealand Forest. Included among the number was the largest standing Kauri in the world. Final information is not to hand, but it is reported that the bush has been quite destroyed by the recent fires.
