Old Colonists' Reunion.

A reunion of old colonists takes place iu Auckland oa Oct. 10th. All who have been in the e<dony fifty or more years (especially those who have resided for that length of time iu the Auckland province) and who have not previously received a personal invitation to attend such reunions, are invite! to forward their names and addresses, also the name of the ship they arrived in, and date, to the registrar of the union, Mr. John Kirkwood Eden t'resieat. Mr. Kirkwood has. repeatedly invited them, through thy Press, to do so, and if any have been hitherto inadvertently overlooker is is pointed out that it b, due to their not complying with this invitation. All arrangements iu connection with the forthcoming function are now well in hand, and the choir have been steadily practising. It is expected that the Rev. Dr. Brute, a prominent figure in the early history of Auckland, will be present and will take part in this year's ceremony. The colony has sustained the loss of a great many old colonists dining the past twelve months, no less than 84 having joined the great majority.
