JH TLER her friends prior to leaving for England for the benefit of Or. Butler’s health. The promoters were Mrs. (’. Hunter and Mr- Jefferson. No^trouble had been -pared in preparing the schoolroom. which, had been converted into a pretty drawing room. The floral decorations. which were lovely, consisted principally of autumn leaves ami miniature sunflowers. Several musical items were given during the afternoon, thn.-e contributing being Mrs B. Couper, Misses Cave. ('lark. Skeet (2). Piggot, and Stone. A most delicious afternoon tea was served. During the afternoon a presentation was made to Mrs Butler by Mrs James Hally in an appropriate little speech, on l»ehalf of about forty of her Cambridge lady friends. The present took the form of a gol<l necklet with greenstone heart, with pearl star in centre and two gold pins with greenstone |H‘ndants. Mrs Butler feelingly replied.
