LOOKING OVER THE NEW GEYSER TOWARDS LAKE ROTOMAHANA AND MOUNT TARAWERA. The crater in foreground is where the new Waimangu has broken out. If the reader will turn to the picture on the preceding page he will see a shelter shed on the ridge in the background to the left of the “shot.” The new geyser is just over the ridge below the shed.
