THAMES.
Dear Bee, October 25. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was recently given by Aliss Alina Banks in the form of a most interesting and amusing floral romance competition. Alias Bertha Baker secured the first prize, and Alias Adams was awarded a consolation trophy. A dainty tea was served. Alusical items were contributed by Misses L. Price, Adams, Lawlor, Wilcox and O’Callaghan. Aliss Banks wore a pretty white silk blouse, inserted with Valenciennes lace, Iback voile skirt trimmed with Ik*l»c ribbon: Miss Carpenter, cream blouse, black skirt ; Miss Aubin, pink and while floral gown, relieved with black; Alias Adams, smart (Team cloth blouse, with ruchettes of ribbon, black skirt ; -Alias A. Adams, white silk blouse, black voile skirt; Alias Ashman, dainty white silk blouse, with yak yoke ami berthe, black be-ribboned skirt; Ali-s Bullock, pretty cream frock, trimmed with lace; Alias Baker, white lawn blouse, with frills, black skirl; Alisa E. Baker, cream serge,
with/brown belt and tie; Miss B. Baker, cream doth, relieved with violet: Miss Edwards, cornflower bine gown: Miss I’ownall, navy blue and white:
Miss Lawlor, effective cream silk blouse inlet with motifs, black skirt; Aliss M. Lawlor, pale blue silk blouse, black tucked skirt; Miss 1 Price, green flecked voile, strapped with wide lace and niched ribbon; Miss L. I’riee, blackvoile; Miss Payne, delicate pink silk
blouse, black voile skirt with accordionpleated flounce; Misses Gillespie (2) vsore white silk blouses, dark skirts; Miss Marsdon. dainty erepni. voile; Miss (•'Callaghan, eream cloth blouse, dark skirt; Miss Read, cream cloth braided blouse, black trimmed skirt; Aliss E. Read, cream -silk blouse, black skirt; Aliss Wilcox, white silk blouse, with strappings of Oriental blue, voile skirt; Aliss A. Walkey, grey, eoat and skirt, pale blue blouse; Miss J. Watson, white embroidered blouse, black cloth skirt. Thames is having n. “corner” in weddings just HOW', three of well-known people being fixed to take place within the next six weeks, so consequently several afternoon teas are being arranged.
