Dear Bee, October 5, THE OLYMPIA RINK was opened last Friday night for a season of three months. There was a very large number present (by invitation). and at eight o’clock the Mayor made an opening speech, in which he spoke of the merits of linking, and also congratulated the management on the amount of work and trouble it had gone to to get the building in order. One would not know the Drill Hall, it has been so improved, and the management must have gone to an endless amount of trouble and expense to give if the appearance it has. Seating accommodation has been erected all round the hall for those who wilt not venture on skates, and cloak-rooms, skate-rooms. ticket-offices, etc., have not been forgotten.
