Orange Blossoms
LESER- RAPHAEL. A wedding was quietly celebrated at the residence of the Rev. S. A. Goldstein, Auckland, on the 7th of September, when Miss Esther Raphael, of Christchurch, was married to Mr Max Leser, of Auckland. The ceremony was impressively performed by the Rabbi. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Tim Raphael, wore a beautifully fitting ivory cloth tailor-made, with a dainty white laee. vest and a large picture hat of white, chiffon, with Jong ostrich plumes and a veil of Limerick laee. She also wore a beautiful diamond and sapphire ■bracelet, the bridegroom’s gift, and carried a lovely bouquet of real orange blossoms and maidenhair fern, with long white satin streamers. After the ceremony the guests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast. The table was charmingly deeorated with clematis, freesias and maidenhair fern, also Jong streamers and bows of satin ribbon. A beautiful bridal cake stood in the centre. The bride’s travelling dress was a dark blue coat and skirt, pretty blue chip hat wreathed with cream roses, and a lovely in white feather stole. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a gold sovereign case.
