Dear Bee, August 14tli. A most eiijoynbie and successful ball was given by tE? Maaonie brethren last Friday, when tliere were nearly 200 people present. The arrangements were elaborately carried out, ami refleetwl the characteristic enterprise of the promoters. The Itall was beautifully decorated, the symbols of the craft forming an effective feature, and this twgether with the handsome regalias of the Masons and the tasteful dresses of the ladies, made- a brilliant spectacle. The music by Booth's bund was exceptionally good. Suppeii was served on a sumptuous scale in the Brian Boru Hotel adjoining, a departure which added greatly to the general comfort, as T’hames is not blew* ed with up tu-dade halls. The committee who so successfully manag’d the ball were Messrs. M. Paul, A. Biuns, Cuth’n. Bane. Ensor. Warne. G. Paul, F.efi?vre,. and W. S. Clarke (secretary). NFr. G. E. Buckland was a valuable master of ceremonies.
