Dunedin, father and mother of the bridegroom; Miss Begg. Dr. Charles Hvgg. Mr ami Mrs Ainslir. Lord Overtoun. I .ord and Lady EHbaitk. Lord amt Lady -Ardwall, Sir Waller Thorhurii, M.P.. and the 'Misses Thorlmrn, and many others. She wore a v hit e sat in dress, made with a full Court train, the trout panel of pleated chiffon, ami llmmces of exquisite old Brussels applique lace, a swathed Lodice. and transparent mousseline yoke. She wore her mot low’s bridal veil, over a wreath of orange blossom. H< r ornaments were a moonstone and diamond pendant, the gift of the bridegroom. a moons! one and diamond brooch, the gift of the best man. and a diamond and sapphire brooch, and she carried a bouquet of lily of the \ alley. She was attended by four bridesmaid* — Miss Ainslie (her sister). Miss Fanny and Miss Helen Begg (sisters of the bridegroom), and Miss Margaret Broadfoot i her niece), and two little trainbearers. The bridesmaids' dresses were •»t white Oriental satin with tucked flounces, swathed bodices and tucked yokes of mousseline, and embroidered moiHseline fichus. Their hats were white straw and chi lion, with pink La France roses and satin ribbons. Their

They carried stalks of Madonna lilies tied with chitlon. and wore heartshaped gold lockets with single pearl in ventre. The best man was Mr James Begg, brother of the bridegroom. Airs Begg, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black Ninon dress over white taffeta. The full bodice had revers of pink panne. Iler toque was of black and white tulle, ami she carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Miss Begg wore a cointtower eolienne dress, ami hat of cream guipure. with a shaded blue leather, ami she carried a bouquet of blue sweet peas. In the afternoon a reception was held at. Swinton Bank, and later Dr. and Mrs Begg left for the English Lakes, where the honeymoon will be spent. Mrs Begg’s going-away dress was of white cloth, trimmed with grey panne embroidery, and Indian filagree buttons, a grey tulle hat. with grey feather shaded to white; and a travelling coat of navy blue with beaver collar. ’l'he bridegroom’s present to the bride was a moonstone and diamond pendant, and her gift to him was a smoker’s cabinet of carved oak. The other wedding gifts were very numerous. The father of the oride presented the young couple with a house and u apery, at the same time l giving his daughter a peart ring and the bridegroom a suit case. . I’he father and mother of the bridegroom presented him with a cheque and Ihe bride with a cheque and diamond ring. Lord and Lady Overt one’s present was a cheque and a turquoise and diamond ring, while Lord and Lady Ardwall gave a gold and turquoise bangle and an oak and silver tea tray.

ATKINSON WALDEGRAVE. A wedding of unusual interest was that of Mi.-s .Mary Frames Waldegrave and Mr. Harry Atkinson (son of i he late Sir Harry Atkinson). which was celebrated at St. Paul’s Pro Cathedral. She wore a wreath of orange blossom under the flowing tulle veil, and carried a bouquet of white violets and narcissus. r l he two elder bridesmaids—Miss Al ui irl Waldegrave (sister of the bride) and Mi.-s Lucy Atkinson (sister of the bridegroom) wore pretty dresses of white muslin worked in brodcrie Anglaisc. the short elbow’ sleeves finished with rubles. 'l’he deep Empire bells ■were of pale blue tafl’eta. and their smart white hals were garlanded with green. The two younger maids. Misses C. and S. Waldegrave (Palmerston North), were in white muslin, made with many flounces, and worn with big frilly white hats, pale blue sashes ami rosettes gave a pretty touch of colour. 'l’he small page. Master I’. Waldegrave. had a pale blue sat in suit and a picturesque hat. Air. S. I'itzherhert (Palmerston North) acted as best man.
