AUCKLAND GOLF.

Perfect weather favoured the Auckland Golf Club’s first important match of the season, played off on Saturday afternoon on the One Tree Hill links. Everything, Including the state of the course, conduced to an interesting afternoon, and a laige number of players competed in the first round for tile Fry Challenge trophy, a prize played for three times a year, over 18 holes. The winner tinned up in Mr W. B. Colbeek, who returned a good card of five up on Colonel Bogey. The following are the cards returned: —W. B. Colbeek, see., five up; .1. C.
