Dear Bee, March 10th'. The second day's racing of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting was held in ideal weather. The attendance was again very large, and the racing was good. Amongst those I noticed on the lawn were Mrs. Hole in a smart grey •triped flannel coat and skirt, the former made with a deep basque, white sillf ve#t with insertion, dark blue straw.

Marshall (Rangitikei) wore a light tweed, the Russian coat was banded with Oriental shaded galloon heliotrope, straw toque, with heliotrope chrysanthemums; Mrs. Morrison (Auckland), pale grey voile gown with cream vest, the sleeves and waist trimmed with black velvet ribbon, full sleeves and frill of embroidered chiffon, falling over the wrist, black toque with black and white folded silk; Mrs. Lowry (Hawke's Bay), navy blue lustre gown, made with wide collar, trimmed with tan ornaments, blue coarse straw toque with blue velvet and bunch of shaded flowers at the back;Miss Greenfield (Wellington), grey tweed coat and skirt- with military strap of green velvet, felt hat relieved with green; Mrs. Rose (Wellington), wore a handsome frock of pink and green shaded silk muslin, the skirt was profusely, gauged and had two wide bands of exquisite Maltese lace all round it, form-

Serjeant, assisted by Miss Izard.
