Orange Blossoms
GORDON—HUMFREY. A quiet but very pretty wedding was celebrated on February 9th at St. James’ Church, Lower Hutt, Wellington, between Mr H. Belleuden Gordon, of Wellington, and Miss Kathleen llinnfrey, elder daughter of the late Captain Hnrafrey (Lower Hutt). The bride, who was given away by her unele (Mr E. J. Riddiford), looked very well in a graceful dress of ivory satin with flounces and ruffles of chiffon. Her only ornament was an exquisite pearl pendant, presented by the bridegroom. She carried a shower bouquet. of white sweet peas. Her two sisters acted as bridesmaids, wearing dainty gowns of white muslin and lace, a pretty touch of colour being given by their bouquets of sweet peas and earnations. The bridegroom presented each with a turquoise and pear) dagger brooch. A few intimate friends were afterwards entertained by Mr and Mrs Riddiford at Ferngrove, Lower Hutt, am! later on Mr and Mrs R. Gordon left on their honeymoon trip to Auckland, the bride wearing a bes oming dress of darkgreen voile, relieved with pale blue.
