Hall, a very pretty pink muslin; Mrs Elworthy, black silk and chiffon, reliovecl with white lace, black and white lamnet; Mrs J. C. Palmer, white cashmere, relieved with pale blue; Mrs George Harper, blaek voile, white lace yoke and trimming; Mrs Prins, black brocade; Mr# Cotton, pale grey voile; Aliss Overton, very pretty gown of navy muslin; Mr, Airs and Miss Neavc, the latter in a pretty pink costume; Dean Harper, Mr aud the Misses Alurray-Aynsley, Air and Airs Beckett, Airs and Miss Henuali. Airs and Aliss Deans, Mrs and Aliss Campbell, the Misses Denniston, Prins, Lean, Hill, Alaling, Cotton, Tripps, Nedwilt, Rutherford, and Helmoro were only some of the guests. One or two small parties have bcs< given for Airs J. M. Turnbull, who is leaving Christchurch to reside at Met liven. Airs L. Harley gave a very pleasant afternoon tea at her mothers, Mrs Wynn-Williams, Latimer Square, when Airs Turnbull was the honoured guest. Others present were Airs J. D. Hall, Mrs W. B. Cowllshaw, Airs J. C. Palmer, Airs E. Turrell, Mrs H. Wood, the Alisses Harley, Turnbull, Alurray-Aynsley, Stead, Reaves and Helmore. Miss Belmore gave a small croquet party for Mrs Turnbull. Some of the guests were Mrs J. D. Hall, Airs F. Cowlishaw, Mrs W. B. Cowlishaw, Airs L. Harley, Mrs E. Turrell, Mrs Fox, the Alisses Turnbull, Reeves, Hay.
