The “N.Z. Times’’ records that Mr. J. M. Chatnlsers, Mr. Bockhaert, and Mr. ’Arthur Cleave, of. Auckland, arrived in Wellington on Sunday week by motorcar from New Plymouth. The party journeyed down from New Plymouth in 134 hours actual running tiirp'- Front New Plymouth to Wanganui occupied five and a half hours, the next stage to Palmerston two and a half hours, and the run from Palmerston to Wellington five and a half hours. This works out at an average of about 20 miles an hour.
