Dear Bee, .April ((). Oa Tuesday evening Airs. John Hally, of 'Ruthven.” gave a most successful ’ nrogressivc game” evening. There was a large gathering, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The fine large din-ing-room. drawing-room, and hall were all used for the games, which caused great merriment. The floral decorations were carried out with chrysanthemums, cosmos, violets, and autumn leaves, and were very artistically arranged. A delicious supper was served at the conclusion of the games, after which we had a s'nort musical programme. Airs. Hally reeoived her guests in a handsome black silk, with point lm-e collar. 'Mrs. Wright, who is staying with Mrs. Hally, was wearing a bltiek mousseline de soie over black silk, with Paris laee collar. The Indies’ prizes were won by Miss Willis and Miss C. Willis. The gentlemen's by Mr. C. Buckland and Mr. Falls. Among! h those jresent I noticed:’ Mrs. It. ,). Roberts, pale blue and white blouse, ami black skirt ; Alias E. Runciman (Auckland), white silk blouse, black skirl; Miss Wrighl, white silk frock, trimmed with laee and frills, and pale blue on bodice; Miss Dunne, white silk, made with deep tucks; Miss Cave, pale blue satin blouse, with transparent yoke, green Swiss belt, and black skirt; Miss Hnllyl, white silk blouse, black
skirt; Miss Willis, white silk blouse, tucked on the cross and lace inserted, point Iflcc collar, black skirt; Miss C. Willis, rose pink satin blouse, point lace collar, black skirt; Mias Clarke, white silk frock, much tucked; Miss Csiuain, pale pink silk blouse, .very prettily made, black skirt; Miss Brooks, e white silk blouse, black skirt ; Miss J. Brooks, white silk blouse, with large blue Ik>w on bodice, black skirt; Alias Priestley, black silk, trimmed with ruchings of chifton, spray of white flowers and maidenhair fern on corsage; Miss Ferguson, pale pink flowered muslin frock; Miss Keesing, white silk blouse, trimmed with st rink coloured yak lace insertion, black skirt; Aliss Gwynncth, crimson silk blouse, trimmed with black lace medallions, and black lace full sleeves, black skirt; Miss Jeffries, pink and white flowered silk blouse, black skirt; Miss Buck land, white spotted Brussels net over pale blue silk blouse, black skirt. Amongst the gentlemen were Messrs. Hally. Brooks. Bockett, Farnoll. Wells, Falls. Maddi Son, Ferguson (2), Walker, C onnor, Clark, Buckland, Roberts.
