Bells of Marlow.
OU. sweet bells of Marlow. how witching ye seem. As y- break on my ears o’er yon broad phu-id stream I Around m«- the m« ad<»ws all peacefully lie. Ami behind. the high woodland envciling the sky.
Your chimes they remind me of other sweet bells. In my far away home midst the heatherclad fells. Where lies in the kirk yard th- lass that 1 loved In that ar-away time ere southward 1 roved.
The seenes of my youth, almost lost to oh, sweet bells of Marlow, ye bring them again ! Your chiming doth conjure once mor-- to my side. The lassie whose iove in my soul doth abide.
Ring on. bells of Marlow, oh. cease not your strain. Whilst 1 clasp to my bos >m my lassi** again ! our tears they are mingling, our souls they are one Ring on. bells of Marlow, still longer ring
