JUNGLE JINKS.
THE GREEDY BOARS RECEIVE ANOTHER HAMPER.
1. “Do Master Billy and Master Willy Boar live here?” inquired the postman at the door of the Jungle school. “I’ve brought a hamper for them.” “Yes, Mr Postman, it’s for us I” cried the twins. " What a feast well have in the dormitory to-night!” “ That's the second hamper those greedy young pigs have had this week!” exclaimed Storky. “ I wonder if they mean to stuff' it all away without any assistance from us, like they did last time.”
2. “Hurray! Mamma is a brick!” chuckled the Boars as they unfastened the hamper. " We'll give the other fellows twice as much as we gave them last time!” sniggered Billy. “Yes!” giggled his brother Willy. “We gave them nothing at all last time, and we’ll give them two helpings of nothing this time to make up for it. Tee! hee!” “Oh, the greedy pigs!” exclaimed the boys listening outside.
3. But there was a great disappointment in store for the greedy ones. What do you think they found in the basket? Why, Mrs Lion's parrot! “Sold again!” shrieked Polly as she bobbed up. And then the boys behind the door all yelled with laughter. Of course, it was Jumbo who had sent the hamper, and not Mrs Boar at all.
