ORANGE BLOSSOMS

DOWD—KELLY

In St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton, on June 24, Mr. T. F. Dowd, son of Captain Dowd, of Parnell, was married to Miss Isabella Kelly, daughter of Mr Hugh Kelly, of Hamilton. The bridesmaids were Misses S. Kelly and A. Dowd, and Mr P. Kelly was best man. After the ceremony the married couple left for their future home in Auckland.

G AUDI N—BROOM E

At Tamahere on June 24 Mr. Thos. <l. H. Gaudin, of Silverdale, Hamilton, married Miss Eva Broome, of Tamahere. Miss Kronfeld (Auckland) was bridesmaid, and Mr F. E. N. Gaudin and Mr R. H. McCallum groomsmen. The ceremony was performed by Archdeacon Willis. The honeymoon was spent in Auckland.

WALLACE—ROBERTSON

The second daughter of Mrs Robertson was married at Maketu to Mr G. Wallace (Te Puke) on Wednesday week

by the Rev. Mr Goodyear, of Tauranga. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr B. Robertson, and attended by her two sisters, Misses K. and M. Robertson. Messrs. D. Wallace (Koliukohu) and Holland (Auckland) were the lr. idegroom’s attendants.

PROSSER—TILLY.

Captain T. Prosser, of the S. and A. Co.’s steamer Pakeha, was married to Miss Tilly at Dunedin on June 29, Captain Prosser is well known in Auckland, and Miss Tilly is the daughter of Captain Tilly, R.N.R., who up to the "time of his death resided in this city. The vessels in port were decorated with bunting for the occasion.

WILKINS—SMYRK

An interesting and pretty wedding took place June 17th, when Percy Reginald, eldest son of Mr. J. IT. Wilkins, of Mount Alltert, was joined in hymeneal bonds to Isabella Eliza (Bell), eldest daughter of Mr. E. P. Smyrk, of Napier. The ceremony was performed in the Newton Congregational Church by the Rev. John Wilkins, and the bride was given away by her father, Mr. 11. Atchison filling the position of groomsman. The bride looked extremely well in a neatly fitting dress of cream nuns’ veiling, trimmed with white satin, surmounted by the customary veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid. Miss Eunice Wilkins, sister of the bridegroom, wore a handsome dress of white silk, with cream insertions. Amongst the wedding party present at the ceremony were the bride’s mother and grandmother (Mrs. VV. Cochrane) and other relatives; also Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins, father and mother of the bridegroom, and several personal friends. After the ceremony the party were driven to the residence of the bridegroom’s parents at Mount Albert, where a large party sat down to a supmtuous breakfast. Full justice having been done to the good things provided, the. health of the bride and bride-

groom was duly toasted, and several oilier toasts were also honoured, after which the company spent a highly enjoyable social evening.
