Mindful of Her First.
After a period of six months of widowhood Bridget consented again to enter the married state. A few weeks after she was led to the altar her former mistress met her in the street dressed in the deepest mourning. “Why, Bridget!” she exclaimed, “for whom are you in black t” “For poor Tim —my first husband, mum. When he died I was that poor I couldn’t, but I said if iver I could I would, and me new man, Mike, is as generous as a lord.”
