A Case for the Police, The Trustees of the Benevolent Institute, Wellington, had before them the case of a young woman about to be confined, for whom they found it impossible to find a home during her trouble. The Salvation Army and other charitable organisations refused help, and finally the young woman was recommended to place herself in the hands of the police.
