ORANGE BLOSSOMS

HAYDN—MARSHALL. A wedding of interest to Canterbury people took place on 30th October at St. Andrew’s, Wells - street, London, when the Vicar (the Rev. W. T. Houldsworth, M.A., united in holy matrimony Joseph Haydn, Esq., of Birchdale/ Hawarden, Virginia Country, Canterbury, and of Papanui, Christchurch, New Zealand, to Mary Macdonald (Lillie), widow of John

Marshall, Esq., late manager Metropolitan Hank, Cardiff Ducks, eldest daughter of the late Captain !•'. W. Bowman, of Belmont House, Duddington, Northamptonshire, and granddaughter of the late Maior E. Bowman, of the same place. AR MSTRONG—COLLINGE. The marriage of Mr Richard E. Armstrong. of Wanganui, with Miss Rosa Collinge, third daughter of Mr. John Collinge, of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church, Hastings, on the !>th inst. The bride, who was conducted to the altar by her father, wore a dress of dainty white muslin trimmed with the finest insertion and chiffon. The skirt was trimmed with chiffon, and a fichu of lace was arranged on the bodice, and the sleeves had rutiles of lace. She wore a white chiffon hat. The bride was followed by one bridesmaid dressed in cream muslin, with a chiffon fichu, black hat trimmed with blaek ehiffon and feathers, turned up at the side. She carried a posy of cream roses tied with white ribbon. The Rev. W. J. Connie officiated. A largely attended reception was afterwards held by Airs. Collinge at her residence in Karamu road, and the newly married couple subsequently started for \\ anganui. The bride's departure costume was of green poplin, and her hat was of tan straw trimmed with velvet. HELM—BISSELL. The marriage of Mr. Alexander Helm, of Clive, Hawke's Bay. with Miss Emily - Bissell, eldest daughter of Mr Bissell, also of Clive, was solemnised on the 10th inst., in the presence of a large circle of friends. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in pale grey, with a train, the bodice and sleeves trimmed with lace, and a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of white flowers. She was attended by one bridesmaid, who wore a dress of cream muslin with a sash, and trimmings of guipure lace. She had a white ehip picture hat trimmed with bows and flowers, and carried a bouquet of white blossoms tied with ribbon. The best man was Mr. Edward Bissell, junior. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. J. Conn ie. The service over, the wedding party reassembled for the wedding breakfast, when a numerous company were entertained. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Bissell left for their honeymoon.
