ENGAGEMENTS.
A marriage has been arranged, and will shortly take place, between Mr. W. 11. Montgomery, some time member for Ellesmere, and Miss Allen, daughter of Mr. James Allen. M.H.R.
An engagement, for marriage has been entered into between Mr. Edward Lance, only son of Mr. Charles Lance, 'of Taunton, England, and Miss Christine Smith, daughter of Mr. Amelius Smith, perhaps the most popular of public men in the Empire City.
The engagement is announced of Mr. W. A. Dickens, Richmond, Victoria, to Miss Agnes Philp, daughter of Mr. Philp, of Cuba-street, Wellington.
The engagement of Miss A. Cowie, of Karori, to Mr. Pearce, of Harcourt '& Co., is to terminate in matrimony at an early date. The wedding will take place from the residence of Mrs. Newman, Hobson-street, Wellington.
