A Matter of Importance.

Sufficient has been said to direct the attention of everyone to the bonus now being- offered “Graphic” subscribers. There may still be some, however, wTio, either through a belief that the announcement does not affect, them, or owing to a disinclination to master the facts of the case, do not yet understand what the bonus really means. On these people we would urge the desirability of at least reading this paragraph. The published price' of the new issue of Brett’s Colonists’ Guide” is one guinea, but for a period restricted to a few weeks the book may be secured by subscribers at half the price that it is being sold to outsiders. To the man with a garden or an orchard, who has horses or. cows, keeps poultry or bees, the “Guide” Is an invaluable text-book. In -the kitchen it will be found the most complete cookery book procurable, while its directions for all kinds of canning, wine making, curing and preserving are easily followed and effective. In the nursery and the. sick room the medical sections are of inestimable value. The late Sir George Greyjspoke of an earlier and al togetherness complete edition as “a necessary appendag’e to every home in New Zealand,” and that this is the feeling of many leading colonists at the present day a glance over the opinions published in the supplement will convince the reader. Ever yone should give the matter careful consideration, and, above all, not leave the question of making application till it. is too late.
