GOLF NOTES.
The semi-finals for the Auckland Golf Club’s championship were played off on Saturday afternoon at the Cornwall links, Vz’hen Mr H. Gillies defeated Mr A. B. Lawrence by four up and three to play, and Mr C. E. S. Gillies defeated br R. A. Carr by four up and two to play. The competition for the final will be held next Saturday. The members of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club compete next Thursday for Mrs Robert Moss’ trophy, and Lady Ranfurly has kindly consented to present the prizes at half-past Lnree o’clock.
