The championship matches under- the Auckland Football Association were continued on Saturday at the Domain and at Devonport. UNITED V. NORTH SHORE. These two teams met at Devonport. In the first half of the game a well-judged corner kick by W. Cotes resulted in a goal to North Shore, the ball going through off a United player. This was the only score in the first, half. In the second spell the North Shore forwards showed better combination, and after several shots, J. Burgess managed to teat Southall with a low fast one. H. Burgess and Richards also scored, making the score—North Shore 4. United nil. Y.M.C.A. (4 goals) v‘ GRAFTON (1 goal). This match was played in the Domain. The Grafton team won the toss, and decided to defend the south goal. Grafton made several attempts to score, but failed Y.M.C.A. managed to score one goal before the whistle blew half-time. Dur|i>g most of the second half of the spell the maroons had the ball in Grafton’s territory, and managed to put three more goals to tho credit. Grafton made one more rally, and with a good rush beat Y.M.C.A.’s goalkeeper. For Grafton Reynolds. Harding. Goldio and Forshaw were the most conspicuous. The two Clarkes, Yates, Downing and Sale played really well tor Y.M.C.A.
