HUNTING FIXTURES.
PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB FIXTURES. May 24 —Pukekohe. May 28—Penrose Junction. May 31—Mangere Pound. WAIKATO HOUNDS. May 28—Pukekura. May 31—Tamahere Cross Roads. The members of the Pakuranga Hunt Club met on Saturday at the Monument, Olahuhu, from where they were to have gone to Sylvia Park, but on account of so much rain having fallen the master decided to go to Mr McLaughlin’s, Papitcitoi. Here the hounds were thrown off. and it was not long before they were in full cry. The wind was blowing so strong that they could not keep the scent very long. When the hunting was finished, Mr and Mrs McLaughlin, with their general hospitality, invited the members in to partake of some refreshments before they started on their joureny home. Amongst those present were: Lady Constance Knox (on a chestnut). Mesdames O’Rorke (on Dominie). Kelly (on Steeltrap), Crowe (on Dick), Bloomfield (on M’Liss), Misses Babington (on Juno), Gorrie (on Jimmy), O. Buckland (on COmet), Stribley (on Awatuna). Rae (on Pohutukawa). Messrs O’Rorke (on Briton), J. Selby (on Dusky Jock), F. Selby (on Woodcock), McLaughlin (oh Dad), Kinloch (on Specs)* Adams (.on Skipper), Cotter (on Blazer), Burns (on Jack Squire), Neil (on Frost). T. Tnttar (on Marine). W. D. Plttar (on Riot), Elliott (on Rangiphunui), Lewis (on Lepperton), Ralph (on Faddy), Nolan (on Larry), Jack (on Fu-
ngarehu), Bloomfield (on Sulelta). Evans (on Tarragon), T. Bray ( on Perseverance). Carolina (on Natation), J. Walker (on Captain), Creagh (on Vie). Myers (on Murawal). and the Hon. Hill Trevor (on a pony). The meet on Wednesday will b- at Mt. Albert.
The Waikato hounds were hunting on Thursday and Saturday at Tauranga. and on each day accounted for three hares. The sport was good, but the weather has not been good. It is expected that tho meets this week will be enjoyable ones, as tne weather promises for the better
