Auckland.—Social Pest’s name appeared in the list of horses engaged In the N.Z. Grand National Steeplechase. A., Auckland.—Royal Conqueror is by Flintlock, son of Musket; Lottie is by Muskapeer. son of Musket. The respective dams of these sires being distantly related, Royal Conqueror, properly speaking, would be considered nearer than a three quarter brother, being from the same dam. Favourite Pastime, Auckland.—(l) Gipsy Grand was third in the New Zealand Cup won by Euroclydon; (2) both are the same age; (3) Loyalty is the only 2 year old that held a record of Im 14s for six furlongs in New Zealand, until Menschikoff equalled it at the C.J.C. Autumn Meeting. Menschikoff's was the better performance, as Loyalty was started by the Hag and carried less weight.
