Union Oil shares sold, and are still wanted at 18/9, ex dividend. The New Whau Company crushed IT loads of stone for a return of £57 15/9. The Chelmsford battery has not been able to work the full number of stamps so far for want of water. About 2040 forfeited shares in the Imperial Company sold by auction at lid. The West Tokatea Company, Coromandel. had the splendid yield of £220 from 12 tons of ore.

Enquiries were made this week for Waitekauri shares at 12/6, but holders asked another 5/.

The Hokianga reef in the May Queen Extended low level, eastern face, is still divided into a number of ribs of quartz., which now appear to be coming closer together. In the western face the reef formation is one foot in width, and at last breaking down colours of gold were seen. Crushing is proceeding.
