The Auckland Polo Club had a pleasant afternoon on Saturday last. Potter’s Paddock being occupied by the trotting club’s meeting, play took place at Buckland's. The Auckland Club has decided to entertain the Cambridge men at dinner on the occasion of the latter's visit to town.

The Victorian polo players are, taken all over, decidedly ahead of the New Zealanders.

Mr Allan Strang, captain of the Oroua polo team, while practising lately at Palmerston North, sustained a nasty accident. The bandage worn by his pony came loose, and the animal tripped, throwing its rider heavily. Mr Strang had his shoulder dislocated and a thumb sprained.
