THE PRIZE WINNERS. The second ingennit y competition was a very great success. thong'll almost all the cousins declare Roberts was a far more difficult word to make a sentence out of than Mafeking. I have found it very hard indeed to decide on the prize winner. but after much thought have awarded FIRST PRIZE COCSI N N EWTON ANDREWS. Opononi. It is simple, direct, ami is founded on absolute fact. It may interest you to hear another of Cousin Newton’s sentences: Roberts. of Britain. Entreated Rebels 'l’o Surrender is. I think, another capital one. ami runs the prize winner very close. SECOND PRIZES. So many cousins entered for the compel ition that I determined to give a small second prize, but I now find it impossible to separate two cousins for this, and must bracket as EQUAL SECOND COCSI N ADELAIDE BUYERS. There are so many other good sentences that I cannot put in even one more without putting in all. for if I left out any. it would seem like favouring certain cousins and being unkind to others. To put all in is impossible as we have such a quantity of letters this week. Besides 1 have some new competitions to tell you about and to ask you to go in for.
