ORANGE BLOSSOMS
J A M ES—RUSSELL. Last Wednesday afternoon at Corry Avenue, the residence of the bride’s parents, was celebrated the marriage of Mr Llewellyn James, of Napier, with Gertrude, daughter of Mr F. Russell, of Napier. The father of the bride gave her away. She was attired in pretty pale grey cashmere, much trimmed with soft chiffon and lace, and her white felt hat was adorned with white plumes. She wore a diamond ring, the bridegroom's gift, and carried a lovely bouquet of white exotics. Miss F. Russell, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid in attendance, wearing a dress of fawn cloth trimmed with tartan silk arranged as a vest. She wore a large black picture hat trimmed with ostrich tips and silk bows, and carried a pretty bouquet, which, with a gold curb chain bangle, was the gift of the bridegroom. Mr F. Russell, jun., brother of the bride, attended the bridegroom as best man. The officiating clergyman was the Bev. J. A. Asher, of the Presbyterian Church. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Llewellyn James left for the South, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride went away in a costume of brown cloth trimmed with white satin, and straw hat to match. HOLROYD—EVANS. The marriage of Mr James Percy Holroyd, of Tomoana, with Florence Emily, daughter of Mr J. R. Evans, of Napier, took place in St. John's Cathedral, Napier, last Wednesday morning, in the presence of a congregation of relations and friends. The bridegroom was attended by Mr H. Gibson as best man. The bride was given away by her uncle. Mr S. Charlton. The Rev. De Berdt-Hovell. Dean of Waiapn officiated.
