GOVERNOR’S LEVEE.

The levee at Government Hrause was well attended on Queen's Birthday. The Permanent Force, tinder Captaia .McKenzie, R.A., formed the guard of honour, and the Garrison Band, conduced by Bandmaster Hunter, provided music. The Governor’s guard of honour, consisting of veterans, tinder command of Captain Riehardeou, of H.M. t)sth Regiment, after being inspectedi Colonel Banks filed into the ballroom, where the levee was field, and lined it on three sides. His Excellency, when he entered the room, was accompanied by the Countess of Ranfurly and Lady Constance Knox; also the Hon. Hill Trevor, A.D.C., and Mr. Hugh Boscawen, R.M_, A-DjC. His Excellency thanked the veterans for the manner in which they had that day done honour to their sovereign, and also sitown respect to himself as the Queen’s representative The visitors who had private eutree attended at a quarter before 4 o’clock. Lord Ranfurly was attended at the levee by Colonel Banks, and the two A.D.Cs. At 4 o'clock the National Anthem was played by the band, and the visitors ccxumenccd to arrive.
