The’-Nbrth Shore Club held a practice hagfthe Devonport Domain on Sat-urday-afternoon, and good form was shown. Afternoon tea was provided bv the ladies.

Practice was indulged iu on Saturday in the Domain. The two matches arranged for did liot come off, owing to the fact that a great port of the Domain was occupied. From this on, however, three grounds will Ite available to players. The tournament matches begin on Saturday next, tho 12th. These will be held on the ground (No. 2) in front of the pavilion Grafton played a friendly match with Suburbs on the Domain on Saturday, winning by 12 goals to 5. Owing to the Governor's absence from Auckland he will be unable to attend the big <>|>eniiig tournament which is to take pa Ice hext Saturday. Aft the clubs in the Association nre taking great interest in this fixture, which promises to be very suecessful. more, especially as the comfort of spectators is to be attended to and afternoon tea provided.
