Dear Bee, November 20. On Friday and Salt u rd ay Mrs Sprott AT HOME from 4 to 6 to a large number of guests. November 23. The w’eather w ? as fine and bright, but horribly windy for Hie FIRST DAY OF THE WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S SPRING MEETING. Some very pretty costumes were worn, and 1 felt quite sorry for the large plume-trimmed hats which were most unmercifully blown about and disordered by the wind. 1 will try and remember as many as possible of the prettiest gowns: —Airs McCarthy wore a pale fawn gown, the skirt and bodice draped with lovely deep white lace, small black and yellow toque; Airs J.
