BLENHEIM.

Be:,r Bee - July 24. The Dog and Poultry Show took place, last week,'and was, I believe, successful, though the entries were not so numerous as last year. Mr Hcrrax, of Wellington, officiated as judge of the dogs. Such shows can only interest those who keep such animals, and are intolerably noisy and distracting to those who’ do not, consequently they are not attractive to the majority. The LAST OF THE SERIES OF CINDERELLA DANCES. given by Miss Waddy took place in Ewart s Hall on Friday evening, ami set in with some squalls of rain, which, though it cleared up later, deterred many from attending it. By moving folding doors the diningreem and drawingroom* were thrown into one, thus making a fine large room for dancing, the floor of which was in capital order.
