GRAPHOLOGY OR PEN PORTRAITS.
' Any reader of the “ New Zealand Graphic” can have his or her character sketched by sending a specimen of handwriting with signature or “ nom de plume” to MADAME MARCELLA, “ Graphic ” Office, Auckland. The column appearing on the first page of cover of the “Graphic’’and twenty-four penny stamps must accompany each letter. TWIG, DENNISTON.—Your handwriting indicates bright vivacity, hopefulness, and an intense love of fun, mimicry, and joking. You possess the liveliest of fertile imaginations; your spirits are buoyant; and, like .Mark Tapley, you have a genius for adapting yourself to circumstances and making the best of untoward situations. Nothing in the shape of variety conies amiss to you, and you derive enjoyment from the merest trifles, provided they contain the materials for amusement. You receive impressions quickly, yet J detect a decided proclivity for forming your own opinions, and although your decisions are made with the utmost rapidity and without devoting any time to observation, your discernment is so acute and guided by such keen intuitive power that you generally succeed in arriving at accurate conclusions. Tact and a pleasing affability of manner are very conspicuous; your temper is remarkably good, your energy is indefatigable, and your tastes are by no means extravagant. Self-esteem is deficient, but you possess far more than a fair share of sensitive pride, and while chatty and eminently conversational, you can keep your own counsel admirably, and even display some diplomatic ‘finesse’ if necessary. You are not without ambition, and I think perseverance only requires the stimulus of interest. There is nothing in graphology to determine the sex of the writer, and 1 remain in doubt as to your own.—MARCELLA.
SUPERFINE.—I gather from the indications of your handwriting that you possess a very kind and affectionate disposition, and a good temper; but you are diffident, shy, and so sensitive as to become slightly self-con-scious. You make friends slowly, rarely permit your warmth of heart to be perceptible, and have a morbid dread of ridicide, which induces shrinking reserve. Your abilities and business capacities are above the average, and you are neat, methodical, • and accurate; but ambition is absent, and you are almost too easily contented with your position for a successful career. In the performance of recognised duties you are conscientious and exact; but your personal undertakings are wanting in the spirit of enterprise, and your energy is not proof against obstacles. Good sense and logic are much in evidence, and you receive impressions and ideas quickly; but you are not in the least imaginative, and you dislike novelty if it contain anything conspicuous or out of the common; even excitement is incongenial to your taste; you are fond of flowers, and I think enjoy cultivating and tending them; animals, too, claim a share of your attention, and you invariably treat them with kindness and consideration. —MAR- ( ELLA.
