Mahara Royal.—Cleaning up took place at this mine. Returned bullion worth about £550. Mount David.— Information was forwarded this week to the New Zealand shareholders in this New South Wales mine that the return for the month from 420 tons was 539 oz gold.

May Queen Extended.—Colours of gold continue to be seen in the quartz coming to hand from the stopes on the Hague Smith cross lode in the Onehunga section. Golden Lead.—Scotty’s reef in the main level south Is a fine Isnly of ore ISin thick, which when broken down showed strong blotches of gold. The reef seems to be improving. Northwards the reef which was cut off by a break has been picked up again. It is three inches thick at present, but will no doubt make again.
