We have received from Mr Prictor, of Dunedin, a copy of his large picture of Dunedin in 1898. This most artistic piece of work gives a bird’s eye view of the capital of Otago, which for dearness, harmonious colouring and general effectiveness it would be hard to excel. The plate is a large one. measuring 30 inches by 18 inches, and takes in the whole of the city with its most important, suburbs. The whole is on such an extensive scale that there ean be no difficulty in identifying every single house in the city from the water’s edge to the high hills in the background. A key plan accompanies the picture, which makes it easy for a stranger to find out the chief buildings and points of interest. As a souvenir of the Jubilee of Otago this pictorial map should have a wide sale.
