ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
CAPTAIN DEWHURST TO MISS A. BAYLY. were some very pretty decorations at the little church at Suva last month on the occasion of the marriage of Miss Annie Jones Bayly, daughter of Mrs Jones Bayly, formerly of Auckland, and Captain F. Dewhurst, of the U.S.S. ‘Maori.’ The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Jones. Mr Barnett, s.s. ‘ Maori,' was best man. The bride was given away by Captain Wooley, harbourmaster, and looked very attractive in white surah silk with very effective trimmings of chiffon and pearl passementerie, orange wreath and veil, bouquet of white flowers. There were two bridesmaids, sisters of the bride— Misses Maud and Alice Bayly. Miss Maud was dressed in heliotrope silk and lace ; Miss Alice, pale green silk similarly finished with lace. Each wore a white satin straw hat with floral trimmings, and carried a tasteful white flowered bouquet. The bride was further escorted by a charming page, Master Charles Wooley, dressed in navy blue velvet with white collar. As the bride left the church rows of little maidens frocked in white strewed roses from the baskets they carried as she passed them. A reception and dance at the residence of Mrs Bayly were held to entertain the wedding guests and other friends.
