FEATHERSTON.

Dear Bee, August 16. A committee of ladies and gentlemen gave a delightful BALL in the Featherston Town Hall last Friday. The hall was artistically decorated with palms, bunting, and Chinese lanterns, the stage and.gallery being cosily arranged (or those who were not dancing. The music and floor were both very good. Extras were played by the Misses Bunny, Meredith, M. Mathews, Messrs W. Martin and H. A. Bunny. A delicious supper was very daintily set out, violets, jonquils, and maidenhair fern being the table decorations. Among the guests I noticed Mrs H. H. Beetham, who wore a very handsome black silk; Mrs Tweed was very much admired in a black velvet gown with white lace and jet trimmings; Mrs Fenwick, black silk ; Mrs N.
