COIF. A bogey golf competition took place on Saturday at the Hntt Links, the prizes being gold sleeve links presented by Mrs Riddiford. Miss L. Wilford won, being i up on bogey. The other scores were : Mrs Pearce, i down; Mrs Howden, Mrs Bodmin, and Miss Burnett, 2 down ; and Miss Wilford, 3 down. In consequence of the extremely wet and boisterous weather the Men’s Championship matches were not played on the Miramar Links (Wellington) on Saturday. His Excellency the Governor has consented to accept the position of patron of the Wellington Golf Club. Most of the Wellington lady golfers left for the Championship Meeting at Christchurch last week.
